Jazz Drum Fills
In this video lesson, we're going to work through some jazz drum fills. All of the jazz drum fills are based off of eighth note triplets which are counted like 1-trip-let, 2-trip-let, 3-trip-let, 4-trip-let so that there are 12 eighth note triplets in 1 bar. With some of these jazz drum fills we can use various stick patterns, like the single stroke roll which is right, left, right, left, or we can go right, right, left, or right, left, left. In order to be the most creative I would suggest practicing all of them.
